Welcome to the enchanting realm of candle magic! Let's embark on a journey together and unlock the secrets to perfect candle burning. Explore the fundamentals and dive deep into the realm of candle wisdom you never knew existed. Whether you're troubleshooting or seeking ways to prolong your candle's radiance, get ready for enlightening insights and brilliant ideas.

CANDLE WISDOM 101: MASTERING THE ART OF CANDLE CARE

For those dedicated to the flame, here are three golden rules for achieving candle perfection: trim, center, and patiently wait.

1. TRIM YOUR WICK

Say no to burning money! Keep your flame in check by trimming the wick to 0.5cm before each burn. Whether using our wick trimmers or scissors, this simple step ensures a longer, safer burn. While our pre-cut wicks usually do the job (though sometimes they need a little help), maintaining that 0.5cm length post-first burn is key to candle longevity. Plus, a tidy trim prevents debris from marring your wax masterpiece.

2. CENTRE YOUR WICK

Maintain your candle's equilibrium by ensuring the wick remains centered. A quick adjustment before each burn guarantees an even distribution of fragrance and prevents unsightly tunneling. Remember, a centered wick equals an evenly burning candle and avoids any unwanted heat mishaps.

3. PATIENTLY WAIT FOR FULL MELT

Attention candle enthusiasts! The most crucial step requires patience. Allow your candle to luxuriate in its first burn for 3-4 hours until the wax pool reaches the glass's edge. Why? Rushing leads to "memory rings" that can affect your candle's lifespan. Trust us, nobody wants a tunneling candle. Embrace the wait for a luminous, long-lasting glow.

SAFETY FIRST

Keep the flame alive without any burns – except for the soothing kind. Follow these safety tips to ensure a blissful burn:

- Keep candles away from children, pets, and anything flammable.

- Burn on a stable, non-flammable surface.

- Never leave a candle unattended.

- Avoid drafts for an even burn.

HANDLE WITH CARE

Our candles may be sensitive souls. Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve their natural beauty. And don't forget to keep them cozy in their original box with the lid on to fend off any unwanted discoloration or dust.

QUALITY MATTERS

Invest in quality candles crafted with premium ingredients and housed in premium vessels. Our candles are paraffin-free, made from a mix of natural waxes, ensuring a clean burn with minimal soot. When you invest in quality, you're investing in safety and satisfaction, ensuring your walls remain pristine and soot-free.

ESSENTIAL OIL CAUTION

While some consider essential oil candles the best option, it's best to err on the side of caution. Some essential oils can pose risks to pets. Be wary of oils like cinnamon, citrus, peppermint, pine, sweet birch, tea tree (melaleuca), and ylang ylang, which are poisonous to dogs. Most of our range is free from essential oils and made from synthetic fragrances (like those found in high grade perfumes), but those that contain essential oils are clearly marked on our website for your peace of mind.

KNOW WHEN TO BID ADIEU

As much as we love transporting you to paradise, all good things must come to an end. Limit burns to 4-5 hours and give your candle a breather. Extinguish with care using a bell snuffer and wait 2 hours before relighting for an extended burn time.

REPURPOSE AND REJOICE

When the candle's journey comes to an end, the fun's not over! Our standard 300g candle glass transforms into perfect plant pots, pen holders, makeup brush holders, and even whiskey glasses. To remove the remaining wax, simply pop it in the freezer until the wax shrinks, then dispose of it responsibly. Clean out the glass with lukewarm soapy water, and it's ready for its new purpose.

TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS AND FAQS

- Sweating candles? Don't fret; it's just our fragrant love showing.

- Discoloured wax? Blame it on natural ingredients soaking up light and temperature changes.

- Air bubbles? Simply a quirk of candle life, nothing to worry about.

- Tunnelling troubles? Extend your burn time and watch those woes melt away.
